Mr. "J" is a member of my 'Watch Me Grow' program. I think my absolute favorite thing about this program is the fact that I get to visit these little ones every three months and watch them grow and change! I took a little trip to visit "J" in his home for his three-month session. He did such a great job flashing adorable smiles and won me over with his coos...he is ADORABLE! I love that I was finally able to use my teddy hat, too! He made the perfect first model for it!

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE photographing newborns?! Meet 6 day old "J". Isn't he just beautiful?

He wasn't too thrilled that this crazy photographer decided to try some creative shots of him! But we eventually got him okay with the idea and I am so happy with how these images turned out! I love being able to use items from my clients homes. It adds such a personal touch to the images.

Thank you , J, J and J (love that all your names start with J!!) for inviting me into your beautiful home to captures images of your little man. I enjoyed every second of it!

I'M BACK!!

And so excited about it!! We received news that our baby girl is healthy and that I can begin a somewhat more active life again! Whooo Hoooo!! So many things to be thankful for! So I am going to be easing back into things by booking a few sessions here and there. I first announced this on Facebook (if you're not already a fan, be sure to become one! I post all of my news and specials there first!), so I've booked three sessions for Christmas season portraits already. If you would like those last minute pictures for your photo cards, be sure to send me an email so I can get you on my calender (December 6th is booked and full already). I am running a special mini session for those holiday cards; a 20-30 minute session with 5-10 images on disc for $50! Some Not So Good News

As you can see, it has been quite a while since my last post. These last weeks have been very chaotic for myself and my family. We received the wonderful news in early August that we are expecting our 4th child. We are thrilled! Not only because we will have this newest addition to our family, but, I also have SO many ideas for newborn portraits!! This little one doesn't know what he/she is in for!
Well, last week we were reminded just how big of a miracle the birth of a healthy baby is. We experienced some complications which has led to me being on bed rest at least through the month of October. We will just have to wait until that point to see whether or not I will be allowed to resume my regular activities for the remainder of the pregnancy. So, the not so good news is I have had to cancel all of my sessions I had booked for October, and will not be booking any session for November until we know more. I am CRUSHED! Photography is my passion. Each session consumes me. The idea of not being able to hold my camera and capture precious moments for my clients is devastating.
As bummed as I am, I also know that it is a tiny sacrifice to make in order to ensure this little one is born healthy in the spring. So, you won't be seeing many posts this month from me. It won't be long, though, until we are back on our feet! This is not the end of Heather Way Photography, we're just taking a little "hiatus"!

I knew from the moment I met 3-year-old little "W", he was going to be a lot of fun to go exploring with! He greeted me with a smile and "Nice to meet you"! Love it! With all the fun streams, butterflies, and even bunnies to watch and chase after, it was hard to stay in one spot for too long. But we did manage to capture this image of the happy little guy...
His sister, 18-month-old "S", was not a fan of me, however! Well, let me re-phrase that...she was a bit intimidated by the bulky camera I was chasing her with!! The best place to be is always in Mommy's arms and I love that I grabbed this moment between mommy and little "S"

Well, let me just begin by saying this family of 6 is too, too, cute! We went into this session with hopes of just getting everyone to be "happy" at the same time! Well, I think we were successful...for the first 30 minutes anyways ;o) With 4 kids (three of which are under 4!), it can be a challenge! But I think we pulled it off!

This entire family has THE most bright, crystal clear eyes!! Making them a dream to photograph!

Meet the "R" Family...an absolutely BEAUTIFUL family I had the privilege of photographing this past weekend. My camera loved them!

This beauty is seven year old "B". I could not stop taking pictures of her! She was at such ease in front of the camera and, well, look at her! She is STUNNING!

Four year old "W" was great, too! I can't believe how cooperative he was! My four year old sees the camera and runs! Not "W"! He struck a pose any time he was asked! Such a cutie!!

And then there is one year old little Miss "C". Don't you just want to scoop her up?! She is gorgeous! Mom and dad are going to be in trouble in the next few years with this group of beautiful children! They can model for my ANY time!

We took this picture in front of their brand new home they just finished building. The location and home are just breathtaking. Congratulations, you guys!

Has it really been six months? It was so great to see this little guy again for his 1 year portraits! So much about him has changed; he, for one, is now VERY mobile and his hair has grown so much! But, he also still has a few things that I found very familiar, like his stunning blue eyes, and his inquisitive stares. We had a great time on our adventure last night, and I just had to get a few pictures up for a quick sneak peek...........more to come!

What a FUN morning I had with this brother/sister duo! Who needs coffee when you've got a 2- year-old and an oh so close to four- year-old to chase after!! We had a great time running, climbing, splashing puddles, rolling in wet grass....you name it, we did it! Of course, in between all of that, we were able to capture some beautiful portraits, too. Whenever I look at this picture I have to laugh....I can still hear their cute little giggles!!

Mr. "B" is so, so handsome! And he did an outstanding job showing me ALL of his pretty teeth!

I LOVE this portrait if Miss "A"! Can you say "attitude"!?! No, not really! She is so full of hugs and kisses...what a little love-bug!

I had a BLAST working with this adorable couple last night! They have entrusted me with their engagement and wedding portraits, and for that, I am truly honored. We spent the evening exploring the great downtown area of Lewiston, and even took an impromptu trip to the future grooms grandparents house (those photos to come shortly!).

I LOVE these rockin' shoes!! As a self-proclaimed "shoe addict" (why a stay-at-home mom needs over 80 pairs of shoes is a question my husband has been trying to figure out for years!) I had a great time playing this picture up!

You guys are THE CUTEST couple! Love it!

When I downloaded this picture, I literally said "WOW" out loud! You are absolutely STUNNING, "C"!!

Let me just tell you, I am LOVIN' how this session is turning out! I have only processed the first 1/4 of the pictures I took and am thrilled with the results so far....I really hope these little ones' mommy loves them as much!
Meet Princess "E" and Princess "G" (they really are princesses, just ask them!) We had a blast at the "exploring park" this beautiful, sunny morning and I knew the second I laid eyes on them it would be impossible not to get anything but fantastic images of them!
Three year old "E" is absolutely stunning with her blonde curls and sparkling blue eyes. She did such a great job!
Two year old Miss "G" is just as beautiful...her green eyes are so, so bright! LOVE IT! Here is her "serious" look....

One of the things I love about doing photography is the opportunity to meet such great people. I love meeting new families and watching the interaction between them. Each individual person brings such great personality to the mix, making for some perfect pictures! The "W" family are just such a family. Meet the "K" family!! Aren't they adorable! I had the pleasure of spending an evening running, jumping, rolling...you name it! So much energy, so much laughter, so many great photos! I have only gotten through about half of the photographs, but already have so many favorites I thought I better post some before my decision gets any harder!!

Big Brother, "A" did AWESOME! He is just about to have his 4th birthday, and told me he had been practicing his smile...it shows! I loved snapping his pictures.

Then there is Miss "C". She just turned 2 and is a little ball of energy! No time for pictures on this day...there was far too much exploring to do!! The images I did capture show her little personality to a "T"!

And, finally, baby "K". She is just about to turn 1 and, is herself, a little explorer! She loved sitting in the grass and flashing me her perfect little smile. What a cutie!

Okay, so I'll be the first to admit that I don't know much about soccer, and was a little nervous about this sports action session. I ended up having a BLAST!! Mr. "Z" put on quite the show for me (even though he didn't know I was there for him!).

He gave me plenty of opportunities to capture him in action! This kid rocks!

He even scored a goal on his teams way to a victory!!

Spring is officially here. In our family, this means it's time to get CRAZY BUSY!! Our oldest son is not only involved with Little League, but plays on a travel team as well. And with my husband helping coach both teams, lets just say our lives are scheduled chaos! But we LOVE it, and I am thrilled to be able to take pictures at all of the games. This is a picture of my son pitching during his last game. His tongue cracks me up! I don't have ONE action shot of him without his tongue sticking out! If you would be interested in having me photograph your athlete in action, give me a call or send an email! For my sports photography, I offer all of your images (50+) on a high-resolution disc with full print release for $45!!! I'll be at the game from warm-ups to the team huddle at the end. ...On The Farm...

What a FUN day this was! Take a look at these four GORGEOUS cousins! We spent the afternoon playing on grandma and grandpa's farm, and let me just say, these little girls have some energy! They had all sorts of ideas about how and were the pictures should be taken, and did a great job of letting their little personalities shine through! We grabbed a quick picture of the oldest two, "M" and "A" on the front porch...

And then we let grandma and grandpa join in the fun!

We ended the day with a really great opportunity. Grandpa celebrated his birthday (won't give the age away *wink*) on this day with all five of his brothers making it back to the homestead that they grew up on...how cool is that!

Oh my goodness, did I ever have fun with this session! Four beautiful little girls with such fun, energetic personalities!
This is Miss "H", the oldest of the four. She did such a great job as my assistant that I told her I would bring her to all my sessions! She was okay with that!

Princess "K" LOVED all my props and wanted to wear all of them! She wasn't shy in front of the camera at all! Then there is Little Miss "E". No sitting for her! Her portion of the session involved me chasing her with my camera!

And, the newest addition, Baby "A". Just 12 days old and so content. She was a dream to photograph.

I could not resist taking some pictures of him with his GINORMIS teddy bear!

He wasn't the biggest fan of being un-swaddled and naked (who can blame him!?). He was the most content right where he belongs...in mommy's arms.

I could not resit posting this picture of 4 month old baby "O"! When I saw it for the first time it made me laugh out loud! She absolutely REFUSED to flash me any smiles...that is, until I took the camera out of her face! Then she was full of them! This little pout is just too stinkin' cute not to share!

Not only am I incredibly lucky to be doing something I love, photography, on a daily basis, but I am also fortunate enough to be a stay-at-home-mom. If that weren't awesome enough, I also get to watch this little guy during the week.

Meet Mr. "J". He is typically a very happy, energetic little boy. However, whenever I pull out the camera, this is the look I get! I call it the "you're not going to get a smile out of me, no matter how hard you try"! Doesn't he look so sad?! I just love this picture of him, though. Makes me want to scoop him up and give him some loves!

I will be making a few changes to my pricing structure effective Jan. 1, 2009. I am happy to announce that I will now be offering on-line proofing of your sessions! You will have access to your password protected gallery for one month. You can share the gallery with your family and friends, and ordering is simple. Just send me an email with your desired print numbers and sizes for each print.
Because I will be offering on-line proofing, I will no longer be offering a low-resolution disc. Instead, I am lowering my session fee to $30, and offering 4x6 prints for sale. If you would rather have your images on disc, you have two options: (A) you may buy all of the high-resolution images from your session on disc for $150, {please note that my sessions typicaly result in 30-50 images!} or (B) you may buy individual, high resolution images on disc for $35 per file. Each of these options affords you the ability to print images from wallet to 24x30 at the lab of your choice!
My old print prices will be honored for my 2008 clients until JANUARY 31st, 2009.

Meet Mr. "R"...an ADORABLE 6 month old with THE most beautiful blue eyes! I had a lot of fun hanging out with this little guy! He has so much personality and was full of great smiles. I did get a few more "serious" poses as we neared his nap time, though ;o) Thanks for being a little trooper!

This is the second time I've had the opportunity to photograph this sweet little girl. She must have remembered me, because it didn't take her too long to warm up and show me how nicely she could sit and smile for the camera! She's excited for Christmas and the fun family gatherings that go along with it!

Can you say A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E? This little guy was a treat to photograph. Mr. "K" set out on his adventure, and I simply followed. His stunning blue eyes and that too cute hat made for the perfect combination. Can't you just hear that giggle!
